"Honduras Ministries" is a non denominational, Christian Ministry that operates by faith. Since this ministry began in 2004, we have relied on God to provide for our every need in accordance with Philippians 4:19 NKJV "And my God shall "supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
The following are ongoing areas of concern that we would ask you to please keep in prayer:
• The Salvation of the men, women and children who come to our meetings or who contact us for food and clothing each week.
• Safety and protection for the staff and volunteers as they go out to the various areas of the inner city and rural areas each week to minister.
• The finances needed to operate this ministry from day to day. We need approximately $40,000.00 a year to keep this ministry going. That does not include the materials and labor that is donated by various businesses and individuals.
• That the Lord would continue to use this web site to bless other similar ministries with the material that He has given us to share.

The Need: People are hungry.
Honduras is the second poorest nation in the western hemisphere. What an average American family of four spends on food in two days will feed a Honduran family for about a month. Nearly 2/3 of Honduras’ population lives in poverty, struggling to find adequate work to provide for their families.
Our Mission:
To care for the spiritual and physical needs of the Honduran people, by sharing the Gospel, providing food, clothing, and medical assistance.
Our Present Work:
We currently distribute food, hygiene products and medical supplies to more than 200 individuals per month. We help support growing congregations of Christians in and around Tegucigalpa, Honduras. That support includes construction of new church buildings and homes. Our first church was constructed in 2006. In 2007 we added a concrete floor to the interior. This building, pictured below, may appear primitive to many, but it has been a beautiful blessing to the people in Cerco de Piedra.
Plans:
We have developed training programs for Hondurans to learn trades in sewing and hammock-making. These training programs are conducted semi-annually. In future years, we hope to plant additional evangelical Christian churches and duplicate this ministry in other Honduran villages. The need is great. Already two other communities have contacted us to begin ministering in their community. Soon, we plan to build a second church building in La Fortunita, a community where we work. The land has been purchased!!!

Volunteer to GO on a short-term missions trip! Workers are needed for food distribution, construction, medical assistance and for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You may have a trade or skill that you could teach to a native Honduran, increasing their opportunities for employment. A week of your time could change a lifetime, perhaps even eternity, for someone in Honduras!
